Will osrs be the next RS3? Now more and more players are disgusted with the content of jagex frequent updates, some of players even wish 2013 vanilla osrs server could be brought back.
Vanilla OSRS is a serious point of contention within the OSRS community at present, and it's not simply something we see exclusively here on the forums: it is present within the game as well, and we can see the community dissonance within the polls and their results. I have no doubt that a considerable portion of the No vote in the OSRS polls stems from the Vanilla OSRS proponents.
Vanilla OSRS would be a server version with no updates and therefore no polls. Vanilla OSRS players would not be inclined to interfere with polls on the grounds of simply not wanting an update because they will be playing on no-update servers. That does not stop other players from opposing content for other reasons (i.e. trying to lure skillers and PvMers into the Wild).
Many players think osrs is going to be NEXT RS 3:
-Rampant, absolutely unstoppable "quality of life" changes, edging the game further and further to ezscape like RS3
-More and more and more unpolled changes despite once promising never to change without a poll
-Free trade continuously limited
Yep, free trade is now gone. I guess we should have seen this coming when they added all the limitations and taxes at the duel arena, but I didn't think they'd be this brazen about it. I quit RS3 for deleting my ability to trade freely, and I never thought it would happen again. I hoped they learned their lesson, but as fun as OSRS is to show off to WoW classic haters, it has proven all mistakes will eventually repeat themselves. Maybe Blizzard will be smart about Wow classic and never change a thing about it except bugs, something I'm wishing was happening with OSRS.
You know, I made fun of people wishing for a server of release-day OSRS. Now I'm not against the idea
A lot of people on these forums don't know this but I too use to be against Vanilla OSRS servers. I changed my mind though in 2015 when the Grand Exchange came to Old School Runescape.
"Maybe Blizzard will be smart about Wow classic and never change a thing about it except bugs, something I'm wishing was happening with OSRS."
there is no doubt that Blizzard is keeping a close eye on all the things that Jagex is doing with Old School Runescape. Hopefully, Blizzard will keep Jagex on their toes with more competition.
